tele-bus Information

Winnipeg Transit has computerized schedule information via its tele-bus system. This service is provided free as a service from Winnipeg Transit. To use it, do the following:

  1. Locate the street name in the Transit Guide section of the Winnipeg Telephone Directory or check the tele-bus phone number at your bus stop.
  2. Dial the tele-bus number 287.7433. It's the same telephone number for all Winnipeg Transit stops.
  3. The tele-bus number for route 11 Kildonan (eastbound) at the Portage Ave. stop across from Polo Park would be 10562.
  4. When the female computer voice answers, dial in that 5 digit Transit stop code, in this case 10562. Yours will probably be different from this.
  5. Press 1 on your touch ton phone for today's schedule.
  6. tele-bus will then give you the arrival times of the next 3 buses for that stop.
