bus operator
A person who drives/operates a bus. Opening the door for passengers.
busway
A diesel-powered bus, operating along a road right of way.

The difference, in time, between two transit vehicles of the same route name.
loop
Used as a terminus and a turning point for transit vehicle.
LRT
A mode of rapid transit where a transit vehicle rides along a railbed.

Norman D. Wilson
A transit engineer who helped design the TTC subway during the 1950s. He had been hired on by the Greater Winnipeg Transit Commission to design a similar rapid transit system for Winnipeg.
T-Man
An electrically lit signpost displaying the current intersection.
tail track
A track extension beyond the end of a rapid transit line to make it easier to construct extensions in the future.
tele-bus
Phone-based information for retrieving latest bus schedules. It's based on an IBM AS/400 Model 720.
transfer
A paper document allowing a passenger free roam on the transit system, until the expiry time.
W.A.T.S.
A major transportation plan for metropolitan Winnipeg, written during the 1960s. It recommended several freeways and a 5.4 mile (8.68 km) underground subway.
Winnipeg
A metropolitan region, in the province of Manitoba, with a population of approximately 680,000 people.
