A bus rapid transit system is no more than a glorified express bus system. If other Canadian cities have developed rail rapid transit, why were we considering bus rapid transit? Surely we should be considering which system is best, not what is cheapest. I do not recall the word "best" ever being used on the mayor's proposed BRT system.

Let's get on with it, but let's do it right — with the best system, not the cheapest one.
